This week led to some loops from Slappy’s Garage “Limbo“, Helas’ “Fellas: A Capella NYC” Video, and CK1’s “Pump On This” Part. All 3 full of great skateboarding captured on a VX.
First, Limbo; this is the newest video released by Slappy’s Garage, a staple in the San Diego skate scene. Our friends at Shieldless Mag featured some loops that I made from Limbo, you can check those out here. But, I still have to highlight one stand out loop from Limbo on here…
Billy Jackson, he’s back again with another beautiful manny. That sound when he lands into the fakie manny, and his arms as he rolls away are amazing. I was super hyped on this clip, flipping out of a manny pad that goes downhill is a tough feat, and Billy made it look easy.
Towards the end of 2019 Helas released “Fellas”, full of tech ledge skating just as you would expect, it’s gold. I was really looking forward to Pedro Attenborough’s part, and he came through. To follow up their full length, they have been releasing raw footage from the trips they took in the filming of this video. Here’s a heavy ledge move from Pedro…
This one is straight up mind-blowing. His shoulders and head are looking backwards the whole time, it’s crazy. With that being said, the smooth transition from the fakie b/s nosegrind to front krook really stood out, and that he had so much control that he rolled away with speed. Can’t wait for more from Pedro in the future.
Cory Kennedy is one of those skateboarders that I think everyone enjoys watching. His mix of tech tricks, flowing on some tranny, and just looking like he’s having a good time makes him so fun to watch. Here’s a couple loops from his part in Sk8rats “Pump on This” –
I’ve never seen this trick done, actually getting into the front hurricane instead of it sliding to a front board seems so tough. I love how his legs turn it into a hurricane grind, but his shoulders stay straight.
Look at that back foot! Cory made this one look simple, but popping out in the middle like that is crazy. I love how he didn’t even have to set up for the switch front shuv out.
