Although an Instagram like is only so meaningful, it seemed like the least bias way to select the most popular loops that we featured this year, and let you guys decide the Loop Of The Year.
The beautiful thing about a loop is that it doesn’t have to be the craziest, most tech, or gnarliest trick, it’s just a trick that looks so nice, that you want to watch it on a loop, over and over again.

This clip is easy on the eyes. From the control it takes to land with a Kickflip set up for a Nollie Front 3, to the way he floats, and how effortless he makes it all look, this really captures the essence of why Gustav is a magician on his board.
2. Franky Villani filmed by Luke Murphy
Franky made this spot his with these 3 mind melters. His highly creative skateboarding, mixed with such a unique spot created magic. Even thinking of these tricks is amazing, but being able to do them so well is next level.
3. Taylor McClung filmed by Matt Bublitz
I love how this spot can be used in different ways, and Taylor showed us yet another amazing way to skate it, and did a trick that just flows so well. The way he turned that Switch 180 to Manny, and slid so smoothly on the Backlip to Fakie made this trick very pleasing to watch.
4. Bobby De Keyzer filmed by Ben Chadourne
You can hear the catch, that and the little shifty made this one stand out to me. The way Bobby’s upper body stays so straight really make it look like he isn’t trying. We’ll be watching this one on loop for a long time coming.
5. Jan henrik Kongstein filmed by Per Christian Løvås
To do this tech of a manual trick, and make it look this great really shows Jan’s skill. I love how he didn’t need to shuffle his foot around for the Fakie Tre out, and the way he did it almost just looked like he jumped and his board knew exactly what to do.
6. Josh Douglas Filmed by Tyler Bamdas
This spot looks so gnarly that I feel like any trick down the set onto that block would have been acceptable for a clip, but Josh upped the ante and Tre Flipped onto it. The pole, the wheel bite factor, it’s all so sketchy, but you almost forget about those things when watching the clip, because Josh makes it look mellow.
7. Ishod Wair filmed by Tim Fulton
Ishod is a footage machine, and comes across as a skateboarder who can do just about any trick in the book. This adds extra excitement to his skating, because you don’t know what to expect. Here’s an example of that, Ishod isn’t known for doing Late Shuv’s all the time, but here’s a picture perfect Late Shuv, on what looks like a gnarly bump over bar.
8. Tom Karangelov filmed by Matt Bublitz
Here’s one that no one has ever done before, hands down. Not only does this trick take the right skater to do, but it also requires a very specific spot. The way Tom fully bonked off the rail, went up, and rolled away at full speed is why I really can’t get enough of this clip.
