Through his amazing clips that he posts almost daily, Dylan Jaeb has become a familiar name in skateboarding over the past couple years. Poods Park in Encinitas is almost synonymous with him, go on his Instagram and you might get stuck scrolling and watching him kill that park (and the streets) for a while.
Thankfully, Dylan was down to meet up, film some warm ups, and try to get a loop or two, which worked out.
For Episode 4 I was able to meet up at PQ Park down in San Diego with my good friend Billy Jackson. I’ve skated with Billy for many years, and have watched him destroy PQ all through that time. I figured, we might as well try and film a loop there, he knows PQ better than just about anyone, and as you’ll see, he found a unique approach to get a loop.
As for a first in this series, it took two separate sessions to get these loops of Billy, but it payed off as we ended up with two tricks to loop. Enjoy!
I wanted to feature Trevor in this series, because I knew that with his consistency and trick selection, that he would get a sick loop. I reached out to him, and we ended up getting this done the same day as Ep. 2 with Austin. Between both of them, Mayberry saw some good skateboarding go down.
For Episode 2 of “Out To Get A Loop” I met up with Austin Heilman, with the plan of trying to get a ledge loop at Mayberry Park.
After some warm-ups, Austin handled the task at hand with ease, almost making it hard to believe he’s never done this back breaker of a trick before.
Welcome, to the first “Out To Get A Loop”. The idea is simple, go skate and hang out with someone for a day, and get a loop.
To start the series, I cruised down to Long Beach and met up with Tanner Lawler at Cherry Park. Follow along as Tanner warms up, grabs a burrito at the local taqueria, and ends up back at Cherry to get a loop 🌀.
